Oxbridge Dinner at Jesus College, Cambridge
The impressive Upper Hall at Jesus College made a splendid setting for the inaugural LES Oxbridge Dinner on 28 February.

Guests were welcomed at Drinks by the Headmistress Biddie O'Connor. Our speaker, John Fernandez, who recently retired from the Grammar School, entertained guests with some amusing ‘history notes' and pictures of LES from bygone years, before Dinner commenced.
We were delighted to welcome Peter Cannon, Chairman of the OLA, Anthony Bowen, Governor, and James Clackson, OL, who represented Professor Mair, the Master of Jesus and President of the Loughborough Endowed Schools.
A strong presence from our current Oxbridge undergraduates made lively company and we were pleased that OLs from the 50s through to the 90s also joined us.
The Headmaster, Paul Fisher, gave a vote of thanks and the party could have continued well beyond the ‘official' curfew. Here's to Oxford next year!
