OLA 2008 London Dinner
Once again the marvellous setting of the RAF Club Banqueting Room rang with laughter and noisy conversation as the 2008 OLA London Dinner was underway.
Over 80 old boys and staff enjoyed a splendid meal and some good wines. There were groups from all decades although after last year's superb turnout from the Year of 97 it was very disappointing that there were none from the Class of 98 despite their having a special invitation. OL's came from as far afield as Switzerland and the US as well as across London and all seemed to enjoy the occasion.
After dinner John Weitzel, on behalf of the Association, spoke about the fine service of the two retiring members of staff who were to be honoured that night - David Horwood and John Fernandez - and Chairman Peter Cannon presented each with a cheque on behalf of the Association.
